The UK Higher Education System
Many people want to further their education in Britain. You will find many educational options. You will be surprised greatly, but the atmosphere of learning in British universities is pretty much relaxed. Even the relations between you and teacher are not that formal how you expect them to be.
Pay attention to the timetable of education. Usually the studying starts in September/October and finishes in June/July. Sometimes there are three terms a year; the 1st begins in September/October, the 2nd in January, and the 3rd in May. Other universities have 2 semesters a year. No matter what higher institution you would choose, the courses usually start in September or October.
Get the idea of educational options in the UK. Many universities offer Zero programs (Year 0). This is a foundation course for those who are looking for specific subject areas. You may target engineering or science courses even though your entry qualifications were not relevant.
Studying for 2 years you are getting Diploma of Higher or Higher National Diploma. But if you stay an extra year Bachelor (Undergraduate) degrees become available for you. Attending a three-year course you may get at the end a degree of Bachelor of Arts (BA), or become a Bachelor of Science.
